Q. I am having difficulties completing my video interview, what do I do?

Q. I am having difficulties viewing the assessment centre slot I have booked, what do I do?
You can view the time slot you have booked by signing into your account -> career portal -> interview invitation(s) -> interview invitation history
Q. I have missed my assessment center, what should I do?
Please email: appointments@recruitmentpartners.net with your full name stating that you missed your interview. We will then send you a new invitation for you to re-schedule at your convenience. Please note that we are only able to reschedule interviews once.
Q. I have to cancel my interview, what should i do?
Please email appoitments@recruitmentpartners.net with your full name stating that you missed your interview. We will then send you a new invitation and you will be able to self-select an assessment center that best suits you.
Q. I haven’t had any feedback since my interview, who can I contact/what should I do?
We provide feedback within ten working days. If you have not yet received feedback within this time, please email: appointments@recruitmentpartners.net with your full name to resolve your issue.
Q. I have been invited to book an interview online but there are no available slots showing, what should I do?
We are continually opening up more time-slots for assessment centers. More time-slots will be published at a later date, so please keep checking online until another appointment becomes available.
Q. What does it mean if I have been talent pooled?
If your application has been talent pooled, you have been successful at the Assessment Centre; however, there are no current vacancies that match your skill set or availability. Our talent pool is open until the end of the sale period and we will be in contact with you if a new role arises that would be a good fit.
Q. I’ve applied before – can I re-apply?
Returners with good feedback do not need to go through the recruitment process again. In the instance that you were not recommended then we ask you to wait 18 months to re-apply.
Any candidates who have not worked at Harrods but would like to re-apply should please wait 6 months.
Q. I have a criminal record – will this stop me working for Recruitment Partners?
Each case will be looked at individually, but as long as you are open and honest with us, then we will look into each case and judge each one in isolation.
Q: Can I book days off?
You have been employed as a temporary member of staff because you are fully flexible. Therefore, we are unable to authorize absences and any requests must be discussed and approved by your manager only. You do not accrue days off due to the inclusion of standard holiday pay (SHP) in your pay.
Q: What does fully flexible mean?
The basic requirements for the role are that you need to be fully flexible Monday – Sunday for all shifts (early, middle and late) and that you can work any day from your start date until your end date. You are hired on the basis that you have agreed to be fully flexible during this short temp contract.
Q: What are the full time and part time hours?
The hours of work vary between roles and during your telephone conversation when you are offered the role, we will confirm you hours. Full time roles are generally 37.5 - 39 hours per week worked over 5 days out of 7. Part time roles can vary between 12- 22.5 hours per week. You will be working on a shift rota basis and the rota will be liaised directly with your manager at the end of your two day induction.
Q. I have changed my mind or my circumstances have changed and I need to withdraw from the process?
If you’d like to withdraw from the process completely, please state this clearly and you will be removed from the system.
Q. I have completed my role and need a reference, what do I do?
Unfortunately we do not provide references, however we can forward an employment letter confirming your employment. Please email appointments@recruitmentpartners.net

Q: What is the company name that I am employed through?
You are employed through Recruitment Partners & Co. You will be paid through the Recruitment Partners & Co payroll, and you have been recruited to support Harrods during their sale period.
Induction and Training
Q: How will I learn about the products and brands?
Within your department, you will receive product-training sessions either directly from the brand or from your manager/buyer
Q: How will my performance be measured?
Harrods are known for their high standards, which is one of the reasons that customers continue to return again and again to shop. As a sales associate you will be measured on your customer service and sales productivity. Harrods have high expectations and we therefore employ the best people to maintain world-class status.
Q. What happens if I do not have my National Insurance Number on my registration date?
You will be assigned with a temporary National Insurance Number. It is your responsibility to communicate this with us.
Q. I am in the process of applying for my National Insurance Number, what should I do?
If you are in the process of applying for a National Insurance number, then you will be taxed under an emergency NI number. Once you have received your NI number, then you should hand it into the timesheet box, for us to process. Please not it is your responsibility to communicate this with us.
Q. I am an International student with a work visa what should I bring with me to induction?
Please bring your visa, passport and a letter stating the below. If you do not bring this with you, then you will not be able to start work.
- You are attending said University/ College
- You can work 20 hour week
- You can work full time during the University/ College holiday with dates confirming the break up and return dates of the University/ College.
- Letter must be dated
- Letter must be signed by the Secretary or principle
- Must be the original letter
For your first day of induction, please go to the Harrods staff entrance on Basil Street in your full uniform for 8:30 am. You must bring your passport and NI number with you.
Q. What happens if I can't bring my passport or visa?
Without your passport on your first day you will not be able to start and you will be sent home.
Q: What is the dress code at Harrods?
Harrods has a formal dress code, to ensure our customers recognize their employees on the shop floor and that the customer service reflects the luxury customer experience. During your interview process you were advised on the guidelines however, if you have any queries please refer to the Harrods style guide.
Payment
Q: What is SHP?
SHP stands for “standard holiday pay”. This will be added onto your hourly wage.
Q. When is payday?
Please refer to the payday timetable for paydays and periods. It is also located on the timesheet box at the crown court reception, plus it is available as a download on the website.
Q. I need my payroll number to send to Revenue?
This is located on your pay slip.
Q. What is the PAYE reference number to send to Revenue?
The PAYE reference on your slip is 120/ 120GA89290.
Q. Whom do I contact if I have a tax related query?
Please contact your local Inland Revenue Office.
Q. If I hand my timesheet in late, when will I get paid?
Officially you will be paid on the next payment run however we suggest monitoring your bank account. If your timesheet is handed in after the cut off point for one of the pay periods however then we will not be able to pay you until the next payday.
Q. What should I do if I have handed in the wrong bank details?
Please send us your updated bank details via email to documents@recruitmentpartners.net , alternatively you can attach the correct bank details to your next timesheet and put it in the timesheet box.

Q. What number should I contact for pay queries?

Q. How do I get my pay slip?
Your pay slip will be sent to your email address on your payday.
Q. At the end of my contract. How do I get my p45?
Your P45 will be available from the Harrods front desk in Knightsbridge once your contract has ended. Your P45 will be processed and sent to you approx. 3 weeks after the campaign.
Q. Do I get paid for my induction days?
Yes, you do get paid for your induction days. At the end of your induction, please place your timesheet into the timesheet box. You do not need to get it signed on this day.
Q. What happens if I leave the store due to sickness?
You will be paid for the hours you have worked provided you get your timesheet signed by a manager and put it in the RPC&CO timesheet box. Please note that all sickness must be communicated to your manager on the day not Recruitment Partners.
